Job Duties as a Freelance Interior Designer
Some of the main job duties associated with this work is:- To find customers by sending sales letters, through advertising or by sending work proposals etc.
- To understand customer needs, taste, budget requirements and preferences to build a solid design plan.
- Share decoration ideas with the clients and then check with them before starting the design process.
- Provide advice and ask clients about organization, space planning, use of furniture, design and decorative pieces.
- Provide an estimate of the design, material and other costs.
- Use computer-aided design to create design plans.
- Collect the payment from the clients after the work is completed.
- Organize and coordinate for other workers and technicians.
- Suggest variations to have a better visual appeal and functionality of an interior space.
